Housed in the building formerly occupied by Fountainhead Lounge, Eastside Lounge is a bit of an anomaly on the East Atlanta Village scene, which typically favors boho dives such as the EARL and Gravity Pub. Upscale and polished where most area establishments are grungy and rough around the edges, the ESL offers urban hipsters all the atmosphere of an ultra-chic Midtown bar without the uppity attitude.

The decor is swanky and modern, with deep red tones setting a warm, romantic color scheme, and DJs and intimate lighting leading sexy singles and cute couples to shake their groove things on the upper level's dancefloor. They offer plenty of beers (both draft and bottled) to suit neighborhood tastes, but this nightspot is truly aimed at the cocktail set, with weekly themed nights such as Monday's Brit-Pop, Tuesday's Classic Night and Wednesday's Stereotype (a mixture of '80s and electro sounds) attracting their own devoted followings.
