Hand-pressed dough, thin, slightly scorched crusts, garden-fresh, housemade sauce, creamy ricotta and flavorful mozzarella, and a litany of fresh ingredients this is authentic Italian pizza served in brightly colored, artsy surrounds. Its a place where couples share bites of chocolate chip-studded cannolis, families devour seam-busting strombolis, and solo diners sidle up to the counter for plate spanning single slices of cheesy goodness. Virgilios parades 17 specialty pizzas that range from the House Favorite white pizza topped with ricotta, garlic, sausage, sundried tomatoes and spinach; to the Dean Martin with bacon, garlic and fresh basil. Beyond pizza are olive oil-slicked pinwheels stuffed with spinach, ricotta, garlic and mozzarella, doughy garlic knots, gobble-worthy calzones, spaghetti and meatballs and oven-hot heros. The clamorous happy hour, which runs from 3pm-6pm daily, flaunts great deals on wines and beer.

Best Pizza In Denver

We love Virgilio's and have always had great food and service.
Faves include the garlic knots, the fresh mozz appetizer and the lasagna. I love trying a different kind of pizza each time I go, the personal size is **************** gotten really popular, so it can be hard to find a seat, but most recently we ordered online and took our grub to go-the online ordering was great!
Virgilio is always there, working hard and greeting all of the cutomers. I appreciate that he recongnizes us as frequent diners.Add CommentWorth the drive....over and over
We drive 30 minutes just for Virgilios pizza.....BEST CRUST, FRESHEST INGREDIENTS, Have lived in Brooklyn, Connecticut and New Jersey and Virgilio's is the best! My husband always gets the meat lovers, we always split garlic knotts (melt in your mouth) and I've tried several diff pizzas, salads, never have been disappointed!
Go to Virgilios!

Since we discovered Virgilio's shortly after they opened, we have been there an average of 3-4 times per month. (we try not to think about the arteries!) A few people have said Virgilio is grumpy, but he is very hard-working. Last week, we saw him being very patient with a party who was 45 minutes late, and he had held his only large table open for them. What owner wouldn't be put off by that? I have a hard time ordering anything but the pizza, but my husband is always looking for the best lasagna, and thinks he's found it here. I don't know NY pizza, but I know what I like, and we drive 25 minutes to get there. MMMMMM.....
Best NY Piza In Denver!!!!

If you want the real deal you must try Virgiio's Pizzeria. This little place rocks. The pizza and garlic knots put this in the top 3 in my life. The crust may be the best ever. If you want true NY PIE then give Virgilio's a try it is the best that you will find in this state.
Ok Beth Wilson

Obviously, you're probably from mid states or a place where people just dont understand quality pizza or it's like you said, uou live too far away, either the hills or the plains which then would explain to me your rating on this joint. You must of been having a bad day or pms' ing...........Big Lou
good but not great
we couldn't taste any sauce on our pizza. it's really nothing special. There were a couple of wise guys - well one and one wanna be who were obnoxiously loud and foul mouthed. it was a long way to drive for nothing i'd leave home for again. the owner was there, and he's a nice guy..but i'm not sure what all the fuss is about. i ate one piece...not enticing enough to have a second. ..
Real Delicious NY & CT Style Pizza!!!! Best Pizza this Side of NY!!
I am originally from NY and then lived in CT and I have tasted some of the best pizza's ever made. So I know what I am talking about when it comes to good pizza. When I left New York to come to Denver the whole way out I tasted really bad pizza. I dont even think I would call it pizza thats how bad it was. When I got here I was ready to cry. I am from NY and I need real pizza to survive! For months I tried what people told me were authentic "NY" style pizza. They were full of crap. I have never tasted such bad, what they call pizza in my life. You might as well give me cardboard, sauce and cheese. When I first went to Virgilios I was skeptical. After trying the pizza I could have stood up and sang Hallelujah!! Not only is Virgilio from CT but, he sure knows how to make good pizza. I now go there about once a week to get pizza and my new favorite garlic knots. He has truly made Denver Colorado livable. I thought for a while I would have to move back home before I starved to death. So thank you Virgilio, and I do reccomend Virgilio's to any one that wants a true NY & CT style pizza.

When you're ready!
When you're ready for real, genuine, New York, Italiano pizza...Go to Virgilio's! The owner "Virgilio" has been in there every time we have gone. Super nice, warm, Italian guy. The staff was there to serve and please. The pizza was seriously out of this world. It was fresh, hot out of the oven, melty gooey cheese, steamy fresh tomato sauce, crust baked to the "must fold in half to eat" consistancy! Don't waste your time going anywhere else if you're ready for the ultimate pizza experience of your life! I am a New York Italian and am VERY picky about my pizza! I Can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu!
