The Grizzly Rose is the best country music dance bar in Denver and one of the best in the country, according to the Country Music Association, which reguarly honors the place. Stroll around the Rose's 40,000 square feet of floorspace, or check a calendar of events, and it's not hard to see why. The best regional and occasionally national bands make the trip here; the weekly bands are great for dancing. When you tire of the two-step, there's a mechanical bull, a country-western wear shop, dance lessons (free on Wednesday), pool tables and a video game room. Ladies night -- free cover and drinks -- is Thursday. But the best action is on the dance floor, especially on weekends, when the place gets packed.

I've been going to the rose for a while and I love the enviorment. I have to admit though that at times it's difficult when people are standing around on the dance floor or seeing that there arent as may cowboys and girls as there used to be. But besides that I think it is a great place to go and kick up you heels and dance. By the way, the rose isnt open mondays like aol has posted.

I love this bar. Great bands, music, and workout. My only complaint goes to the staff. A little advice.. a little less attitude at the door by the bouncers who need a reality check anyway.. You are a bouncer not a police officer!

Good place to go. If you like country and can deal with drunk men it's always a good time! The staff are always friendly and protective of their regulars! Good dance floor if the teens would stop standing around on Sundays!

I like this place -

except for the witch dance instructor named Rosalie. My girlfriend and I where waiting for a lesson to end, that Rosalie was teaching, to talk to her about taking lessons. We started to practice the move she was teaching and she stopped the class and came over and told us off in front of everyone there that we had no right to practice the move without paying her for the lesson. That's a great way to treat newcomers to the Rose Rosalie! What makes it worse is that it was just a petty $3.00 class for the Cowboy Cha Cha which is a free lesson at other places. I advise staying away from this idiot instructor. Take free lessons at the Stampede instead or take some lessons from Patty and Chris at Club Corner. Patty and Chris want you to learn country dancing and they want to be your friends too! Beside that experience I like this place. Where else can I go on a Friday night, pay a $3.00 cover, dance to a live band, in an air conditioned building, with a wide open dance floor. Do you like to go to a country bar to dance hip hop? I don't and that's another reason I like the Rose. They play country all night long unlike the Stampede. I also like to go to the concerts there and dance the night away to top named performers. The ticket prices are also for a working mans budget from $10.00 to $22.00.
RidnCowboy's Review

While the Rose is an older bar, it still has plenty of potential. However, in the past year, little has been done to the upkeep. Using the restroom facilities, well, a walk through any pasture after a rain would be more pleasant. There are plenty of good, decent folks who stop in for the evening, however the new staff is working hard to turn them away with the poor treatment and lack of friendly atmosphere. Folks work hard and want to enjoy an evening out dancing and shooting the bull with friends. Staff wanders the place with a scorn on their face, never dropping the tough guy routine long enough to welcome a paying customer into the establishement. Once closing time rolls around you better be prepared to get rousted out the door in a very unfriendly manner. Folks around here wouldn't treat cattle like that, let alone paying customers. I would have to attribute the problems on the management end as well as staffing. A friendly smile and an occasional welcome go a long way.
Grizzly Rose

Really different and exciting. A truly unique experience. If you like to dance and hear good music, this is the place.

I love the rose! Sunday nights are really becoming a teenie bopper night though. I thought it was a country bar, so what's w/the brinety spears look alikes? other than that, it's great.

It's an awesome place to go! The only drag is Sunday nights (Teen night). People tend to stand out on the floor and just talk...Not much room to dance. The official website does post upcoming entertainers for those who complained...=oÞ
