In 1999, this wonderful Colfax location was completely restored and remodeled with the infamous Fillmore in San Francisco in mind. The new venue made its debut in 1999 with a crystal-clear acoustic system that works well for big or small events. The format of the club is designed to be a standing room viewing area with some limited seating and is one of the biggest venues in Denver. The place rocks when you get a big headliner; consequently world-famous musicians are constantly on the bill. Some gripe that it's not intimate enough for smaller shows so take that into consideration. There are bars everywhere for your drinking pleasures but if it's a billed as an all-ages show, no alcohol is served.

I have to disagree with bdcurt1. I went to the Yonder Mtn. show on 12/29 and we were not in the middle of a blizzard! There was snow on the ground, but I managed to make it from a western suburb of Denver (a 20 min. drive) in a two wheel drive vehicle. You must not be from CO if you couldn't manage to get to this show. I can't say that I blame them for not changing your tickets over. This is a great venue!

We bought our son a ticket for the performance on 29 Dec by the Yoder Mtn String Band, and even though we are in the midst of a full fledged blizzard and the Governor has declared Colorado a disaster area the Fillmore would not even consider changing our tickets to another night or refunding the cost. Very poor establishment that has no concern for their fans. Will never attend another event here and would caution everyone when considering purchasing events at this place.

I love the Fillmore! Seen String Cheese, Leftover Salmon, & Younder Mountain String band there, and have to say, other than Red Rocks, its one of the best venues in this area. The only real problem is the drink prices, but hey, like any other bar out there, the prices are set, drink if you want....and i do. The no smoking thing is not my favorite, but if it makes my non-smoking friends happy, ill stand out by Colfax and do what i gotta do to get my fix! If you have kids 16 and under, take um to the Pepsi Center!

You would not allow my 7 year old granddaughter attend a concert with her mother on November 11, 2004. This was to be her first concert. Her mother loves Winona and has not missed one of her concerts till now. They had even bought roses to give to Winona. Poor showing on the part of the Auditorium.

Beautiful place, and I love the 16 and up rule, at least for the rock concerts that involve moshing just because it's so dangerous and all. The only real problem I saw was that you only have one drinking fountain. When I saw Marilyn Manson there, as soon as the show was over, I began my quest for water which probably took a good half-hour. And don't close the bar. At least sell water! Alright, I'll shut up now, but besides the water thing, it's a really nice place.

I'm so upset that kids under 16 can't get in!! I took my kids with IDs in hand to get Smashmouth tickets at student prices. Good thing I went online the day befor to get directions, only to read another mans dissapointment with the Filmore. Luckily Foleys gave my money back. My kids are so dissapointed come on Filmore get the word out when advertising your concerts kids under 16 can't get in!!! Can you imagine how angry we would have been driving from the Springs , only to be turned away at the door!!Besides why do 16 yr olds get in, they can't drink!!

Saw G. Love/Long Beach Dubs in Nov; free apples are good, but they don't make up for $6 beers. It's like you can either drink or buy tickets to the show, not both & that sucks.

Big complaint!! Why this thing is for 16 years old and over? Because of Liquor licence? I thought it is 21. It doesn't make any sense. My son is 14 and he loves blues. I've had the tickets for Jonny Lang - his idol - but he was deprave of seeing the concert because of your stupid rule. Shame on you. How can you expect to educate young people about good music?
