  • cherry creek vs. downtown

    Review rating : 4out of 5   Euronoreen - 07/28/2008

We have been to the Cherry Creek restaurant several times and it was always excellant. We went downtown and was actually disapointed. The service was not as good in fact they brought over desert to our table and we hadn't even ordered dinner. All four dinners did not come out at the same time and the food was marginal at best.

  • When you want the best!

    Review rating : 5out of 5   DENVERLARSON - 07/02/2008

One of the best places to enjoy a great meal. The steaks are prepared to perfection.....and so is everything else. The vegetables were fresh and presented with style. The timing of the service and the service personnel were excellent.
    A fine dining experience!!!!

  • Elways Never Disappoints

    Review rating : 5out of 5   GLODEN - 06/15/2008

We have been to this restaurant many times and have never had a bad meal. The steaks are always just as we ordered them and the seafood is fabulous! Occasionally service is a little slow, but once your food arrives, you forget about the service. We always recommend Elways to friends and out of town guests

  • Great Dining Experience

    Review rating : 5out of 5   BalonBB - 06/11/2008

I have enjoyed eating at steak restaurants all over the USA for years and I found Elways to be as good or better than any I have ever visited.

The service was great, the food was great and it was a very "happening" place. It obviously has great local management that one does not find in chain steak houses.

  • Touchdown!

    Review rating : 4out of 5   jciml4evr - 08/22/2007

Hands down, Elway's offers the best dipping sauce for artichokes, great salads, and hamburgers too big to eat at one sitting. Service can be a little slow, especially at lunch time, but is well worth the wait.

  • Local Meat Market

    Review rating : 2out of 5   allenkincaid - 08/09/2007

I found this place disappointing - consistently lower quality beef on the menu. The attraction must the the name only. Last time there I just ordered a vegetable plate. Probably rates high as a local meat market of the two-legged variety.

  • Won't honor reservation...

    Review rating : 1out of 5   foreverelway - 04/30/2007

I was terribly disapointed to learn Elway's wouldn't seat my family in their reserved booth upon arrival. They had specifically requested a booth because they have a small child. After numerous attempts to seat them anywhere but the dining room, my family left with the impression that Elways did not want children in the dining room. Assuming the child would be disruptive?? Is this unfair, or reserving their right to refuse service?

  • OVER RATED!!!

    Review rating : 1out of 5   tyfy25 - 02/20/2007

despite john elway being....well, john elway, doesnt mean he can cook. or his hired chefs. the location and name of the restaurant make it seem much better than it is. They are also usually way too crowded, the service is simply mediocre, and the atmosphere resembles a school cafeteria.
