A longtime staple in Cherry Creek North continues to defy its chi-chi neighborhood surroundings with inexpensive food, a decidedly anti-ritzy atmosphere and a down-to-earth, genial staff. Its typical bar menu becomes outstanding with something as simple as a hamburger -- the place has topped "best burger" lists all over town for years. The spicy green chili here is so good that customers eagerly drive from outlying suburbs to get a taste. On St. Patrick's Day, the joint jumps just like its namesake with outdoor kegs and Irish entertainers. Any day of the year you can choose from a humongous selection of international beers, from the darkest English ales to light domestics.
Inside you'll find the usual tavern decor: dark woods with a bar spanning one wall, booths along the sides of the room, plus small, chrome-trimmed tables and chairs in the center. About half-a-dozen small-screen TVs are scattered around, the adjoining poolroom has but two tables, there's a single dartboard (in 'dartboard alley'), and customers catch some sun on a nondescript outdoor patio. Overall, the place is clean, nothing fancy and maybe getting a little worn. So what keeps a loyal clientele coming back again and again in droves? Unpretentious, absolute comfort; ridiculously-low prices for legendary basic food and drinks; and a high level of friendliness -- a successful combination anywhere.

What's not to like

Best darn Green Chili in Denver, Meat Loaf sandwiches, juicy burgers - and a diversity of cold brews for the asking. The neighborhood changes EXCEPT for the Cricket, they still have lines to be seated ...

Visiting my daughter we decided to give the place a try and what a surprise. Great food and service and prices that won't leave you smarting. Definitely will put it in my favs list
All around Great Food!!!
Although the burgers get the award which they should. I believe the Chicken Enchilladas, the Chimichonga are some of the best I have ever had. Great Mexican Food too!!

The Absolute Best!!
The Cherry Cricket is by far, in my opinion, the best place for burgers around town. The setting is average but the food is AMAZING. The burgers are the best and the fries are some of my favorite. Very affordable as well. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!
We waddled out afterward
Friday, March 24th, and crowded, but got a table inside of 15 mins. Like everyone there, the hosts welcomed us like family (though we'd never been there before). We wanted and got cheesey greaseburgers, in part 'cause we ordered them under the "medium" description. The food's filling, good, and fun, including the fries, but it's the bartenders and waitresses who really make the place neat. In 'perpetual motion' they still find a way to smile and talk like old buddies with the customers. Really an impressive crew, from the kitchen to the front door. Drinks and very good burgies for about $20 for two of us, including a 25% tip well earned.
Not the best but just good
Personaly I thought they were a bit over-rated, you can go to Red robin and get a burger that is equal if not better. But you have to like the prices.
