Sure, its a Chinese restaurant with the usual egg drop soup and mu shu pork offerings. But China Buffet is just as well known for its sushi and snowcrabs, too. It succeeds in being all things to all lovers of Asian cuisine.
The buffet is the only choice youve got here, and its a great one. For one price (though it varies for lunch or dinner, and on weekdays versus weekends), you can visit the enormous spread of salads, soups, sushi, entrees and desserts as many times as you want. And with fantastic seafood such as shrimp, mussels and snow crab legs offered during weekend dinners, you can definitely get your moneys worth. Youll have to deal with crowds on the weekends, but the good thing about visiting when the restaurant is busiest is that the turnaround on the buffet items will be nearly constant, so you can count on everything coming sizzling hot, fresh off the wok.

good but a little expensive dine in, take out buffet available
PhillDen8 - 06/27/2008I have eaten there about 5 Times, ( it is close to my home, and can ride my bike there :) ), The food as good Chinese buffet but somewhat expensive,(as are most dine in restaurants are), if you care about spending $, especially at dinner time. They have a HUGE selection of good food! They have a takeout with no seafood allowed for $5.50 per container lunch, $6.50 dinner :) . I often go to the chinese restaurant near Bruce B. Downs and Fowler and get their take out buffet ( all meat and seafood ) for $3.99 per pound lunch hours (before 3:30), although they have a much smaller selection. I spend $10 there but it last me a long time. I will not dine in at either location, because I am concerned about expense, if you are not, you will enjoy the China buffet! It is on Fowler between Nebraska and 15th streen, on the south side. I love chinese food. I am very happy with any chinese take out buffet! :)

kablanmalan - 05/19/2007i really enjoy the food here, lunch or dinner its always fresh and tastes fabulous, ive never been disappointed there( thats saying a lot talking about a chinese buffet) delicious sushi, spring and egg rolls are fabulous they have a tremendous selection of food and even though were broke college students we can eat there without breaking bank. .its absolutely worth trying. i

buxfan8 - 05/09/2007I agree if you go on a Friday or Saturday night and the food is getting rotated thru this is by far the best chinese buffet I have been to but if you go on a Tues or Wed the quality iis just not the same these reviews are right on the money !!!!!

momscrolls - 05/13/2002We have gone here 5 times it was good 3 of the 5 times I think it might be a better idea to go on a busier night like a Friday or Sat night as well as go to eat during normal dinner hours 5-7 but this is my suggestion for most buffet restaurants the turnover on the food is greater even though you might have to wait or get have people cut in line on you the snow crab is much better on Fri & Sat I have discovered.
