The award certificates, presented by local media and mounted on the wall, only confirm what everyone already knows about this neighborhood institution: It's the the cream of the crop. Beads decorate the entrance and lead to a warmly lit, elegantly decorated interior, where booths and tables invite you and your friends to settle in and make yourselves comfortable.

At Jimmy Tsang's, you can order individual entrees or opt for family-style servings. Staffers are happy to offer help with suggestions -- and with five major categories to choose from (Mandarin, Hunan and Szechwan, Shanghai and Cantonese), you might need it. Lunch specials, available Monday through Saturday, include sweet-and-sour chicken, Kung Pao chicken, Mongolian beef and the Buddha's Feast, designed for vegetarians.

The dinner menu is huge, with plenty of appetizers, soups and salads. A section of the menu is devoted to vegetarian options. If you're looking for something substantial for dessert, try the Skinny Dip (creme de menthe over vanilla ice cream) or Tao Delight (vanilla ice cream with raspberry sauce, sliced peaches and whipped cream).

  • great food, good atmosphere

The food is the best I've tried anywhere (all over the country). The atmosphere is fun and lighthearted. I guess if you're old and cranky or rich and snotty, you might prefer a more uptight, ***-******* wait staff, but the servers there are friendly and relaxed. The Chinese and Korean selections were excellent and in all the years I have ever eaten there nothing has ever tasted "out of a can". All the food is made to order down to the very last egg roll. My favorite!

This was such a disappointment. We'll never go there again. The food tasted like it was out of a can. Horrible.

It is hard to believe that a Chinese Resuraunt has an American Wait Staff to wait on tables. I have been to numerous Chinese Resturants and have always been waited on by people of the same culture.
I had tried a couple of different items such as Hot and Sour Soup, Did not have the usuall kick to it as it was not hot or have a bite to it. I had also tried a couple of different Seschuan and Hunan dishes and I know they are supposed to be hot and spicy. These dishes had very little kick to it.
