Crown Palace is an attractive restaurant with a gray, white, red, and black interior and framed Chinese artwork lining the walls. The modern look fits in with the elegant Chinese-American fare. "Americanized" is not a bad word when describing the food here -- it doesn't imply careless chow mein or chop suey. The dishes may be slightly adjusted for the Western palate, but are all delicious and done with care. The small dishes are no exception, and you'll wish your orders of the stuffed eggplant and the barbecued spare ribs were larger. Thankfully, the entrees more than compensate, and the service is wonderful. For a complex dish of tart and spice, the tangerine chicken features marinated breast sauteed with dried orange peels, garlic and ginger. For noodlephiles, the Singapore mai fun (ultra-thin rice noodles) is a stir fry with bean sprouts, scallions, napa cabbage and the chef's spicy curry sauce. Whether you order it with chicken, pork, shrimp or bean curd, you won't be disappointed.

I've been going to Crown Palace in Middletown for last 13 years after discovering the Marlboro Crown Palace in early 90s. The ambience, the service, and the food are always impeccable. It is the best Chinese restaurant in the Shore Area and many Chinese famiolies come on weekends for dim-sun, always a wonderful experience. The prices are excellent too. Why go elsewhere,if you like quality Chinese food. .

staff is unfriendly and rude. Went there with 11 people, late Sunday afternoon. As we waited for 20 minutes to be served ( and the place was empty) we all ate up the one bowl of chineese noodles that was on the table. When we got served, asked for more noodles and the waiter rudely said that we already had noodles. He begrudgingly gave us more. When we finished the noodles, there were remnants of fortune cookies at the bottom, which tells me they just take the bowls and fill them up without cleaning them.
