Contemporary Chinese cuisine meets New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong influences at this surprisingly upscale restaurant in a strip mall location. A popular nightspot for Buckhead's middle-aged singles crowd, the restaurant's piano bar really gets hopping on the weekends but rarely disturbs the elegant, romantic atmosphere of the large dining room.
A perennial critics' choice for best Chinese in Atlanta, Chopstix offers an expansive, high-end menu to suit almost every taste. Traditional appetizers such as spring rolls and calamari are augmented by unusual selections such as roasted duck ravioli in a rich sauce and stir-fried alligator in soy ginger garlic sauce with black mushrooms. Try the shrimp with black bean sauce served with shiitake mushrooms and sugar snap peas or the house specialty of chicken stir-fried with onions, scallions and honey-glazed walnuts. Of course, there's always the Peking duck, a whole, crispy roasted duck served with pancakes and a light hoisin sauce. -- Bret Love

SharonCann - 06/15/2008It was so crowded that I thought they would never seat me but they did so as a single I had a wonderful experience and try to go back when I am in Atlanta. I have eaten at lunch and at dinner but they do both well. The evenings sometimes have music so you might want to reserve at night.

swg555 - 07/10/2006Don't let the strip center, store front exterior of this little gem scare you away. Once you walk through the door you are transported to dining heaven! This is, hands down, the best Chinese restaurant in Atlanta. The menu is so diverse, and each evenings specials bring an incredible surprise. I would put Chopstix on par with the very best Chinese restaurants in New York City, or London. If you are used to eating at your local Chinese neighborhood take out, treat yourself to the delights of real Chinese cooking...go to Chopstixs. Be prepared for a heafty check, this is not Panda Express, but it "is" worth every penny.
