When it's gotta be cheap and it's gotta be good, do Babulu's. A veritable St. Pete institution, it's the kind of place where the waitresses call you hun and will likely remember your name on your second visit. And as for the decor at the bright red and yellow ramshackle of a building, a sign hanging on the front sums it up: 'Tacky on the Outside, Tasty on the Inside.' But you're not here for the atmosphere anyway, you're here for the food. Just don't expect anything unusual.

The offerings don't extend past American borders, and are heavy on burgers, sandwiches, steak and chicken items. There's a bar in the middle of the restaurant, and it seems to be busy no matter the hour with regulars downing a beer and a burger. A pool table in a corner adds to the watering hole atmosphere. Two-pound crab leg dinners on Wednesday and Sunday nights are another big lure.

Okay, so this place is a little hole in the wall, so what? If I want to pay $8 for a burger I can find someplace big and bright. This is a neighborhood bar. The food is great, the people are nice and the prices are more than fair.

This is American food. Its hard to say what the best dish is on the menu. They do have great sandwiches. This place you do not want to dress up in or you will feel awkward. The setting is more casual. Friendly service with a smile and a wink The food ranges from $3-$8 or so. The food is pretty good , the sevice is ok but the only prblem is that it is small and cigarette smoke fills the place quickly. But if you dont mind then it is a great place to go on Mondays for all u can eat crab legs. Every night. A bottle of fine wine and a roasted bird in cream sauce
