Grecian Delight is a mainstay of a large brick building on the north side of North Ave. A large, cafeteria-style restaurant with two rooms, Grecian Delight is split into a grill area, with your standard meat-on-a-stick roaster for gyros, and a sit-down room with booths and a great view of North Avenue. All in all, Grecian Delight is very similar to Oakland Gyros a few blocks north on Locust, featuring wonderful Greek salads and surprisingly good fish sandwiches. Chicken, cheese-covered spinach pie, cheese-covered burgers are also among the favorites here. Open late for night-owls.

    THIS PLACE HAS BEEN AROUND ALMOST 20 YEARS! IT 'S EASY TO SEE WHY...GREAT FOOD AND PRICES. TRY THE ATHENIAN CHICKEN! ITS OUT OF THIS WORLD!!

    Absolutely the besy Gyros! Period. I've traveled the U.S. extensively, first tasted gyros in Chicago, Ill, but none come close the the hot, tasty, any flavorful food & atmosphere at Grecian Delight.

    They have the meat with the best flavor, sufficient tomatoes and onions, and real good cucumber sauce. Really tasty -- my favorite (and I've tried many others).

    I grew up in Wisconsin and moved to the Eastside as an adult, Grecian Delight definately has the best greek food!! Although I have to admit I did enjoy the cheeseburger (plain) Sincerely, Lisa/St Petersburg Florida
