A perfectly made Chicago-style hot dog is surprisingly difficult to find in the city of Milwaukee. The Dogg Haus, which opened at the end of March 2005 near the intersection of Farwell Avenue and Brady Street just might change that. The Dogg Haus makes true Chicago-style hot dogs from the slices of tomato, right down to the special salt. If a Vienna Frank bathing in vegetables isn't what you're looking for, The Dogg Haus offers build-your-own hot dogs, Italian beef, or polish sausages. The toppings cover almost anything one would think of putting on a hot dog and some new ideas as well. For example, The Dogg Haus offers salsa, jalapeno peppers and sour cream for those looking to create a taco/hot dog hybrid. The walls of this hot dog mecca are painted in a vibrant yellow with some graffiti art in the back. The Haus is incredibly small, and when a short line forms, it quickly snakes outside the door of the tiny shop. Those looking for seating must content themselves with one of four chairs inside or the few sidewalk tables.

Chili Dog, etc
Chili needs to be more seasoned, it's too bland for what otherwise would be a devine dog...
Chicago style is great!Comments(0)|Add Comment
