Named for St. Finbars in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, a school and parish attended by the owners of Finbars Italian Kitchen, this authentic New York-style Italian trattoria is a mix of East and West coast styles. Located on Pacific Coast Highway near Old Town Seal Beach, the restaurant houses both a cocktail lounge and separate sports room to ensure all guests are happy. My family wanted to try the restaurant based on the reviews listed here. The food was pretty good , but we tired of a loudmouthed gentleman with an east coast accent blabbering all over the place, he acutally sent spittle our way when he spoke with my daughter. Not going back.
Excellent Food, Great Service
in4sirlt - 01/10/2006I have dined all over the world. The food here is spectacular. The menu is extensive. I cannot describe how delicious everything I have had here everytime I have gone. The shrimp scampi fra diavolo and chopped salad to start, and the daily specials you just have to pick one. Otherwise you will want two! Great place, food and service!
The best italian place ever

rlnstne - 03/12/2000This IS THE BEST restaurant in Seal Beach if not OC. The food is homemade from scratch everyday using three generations of family recipies. The servers are great -- they make you feel right at home the moment you walk in the door. The dining room is very cozy and comfortable. Prices are VERY REASONABLE ..the entire menu is under $10 except for a few entrees (the salmon dishes they serve here are twice as good as anyplace else for half the price 13.95 including rice or pasta and veggies.) You got to check this place out. ELMER DILLS rated it 4 A's. LA TIMES said 'a masterwork the best sauce he has tasted in years' ...OC Register called the place 'an ITALIAN TREASURE'
