A red wall with looming eyes decorates the exterior of what many consider to be one of Santa Monica's best live performance stages. The Temple Bar offers nightly entertainment throughout the week, including funk, hip-hop, jazz, reggae and salsa dancing. The dimly lit setting offers Asian flairs like Chinese lanterns, leafed Buddha statues and an intimate billiards area that says Zen while providing a cool, hip and entertaining location for nightlife. The facility offers a stage that lures musical names that live up to the caliber of such weekly events as Rhythm Room -- a Sunday night funk and groove event that packs in a full house every week. The live entertainment manages to transcend the usual garage and beach sounds that most area clubs offer and instead diversifies the stage with acts of ethnic, spiritual and musical diversity. Euro- Asian nightlife in the heart of Santa Monica, Temple Bar mixes live performance, chic ambiance and beach singles for a blue blood musical experience in the most red of settings.

You cannot miss this! A true irish band all the way from Ireland to perform here in the USA...I cant wait! This is one of the best bands out there...Irish, or otherwise! You will love them! If you havent heard of this band....look em up..listen to them! You will become a believer!

noticc13 - 09/21/2004one of the most down 2 earth places in la, comfortable, chill, and always good shows going on......Never have 2 worry bout gettin in ......the temples door are open 2 everyone!!...very eclectic group of people too...not just the lala wannabeees!!!!

anewguest - 03/16/1999I found the atmosphere to be wonderful. The staff and the people are friendly and comfortable.
The live music is an added plus and the band members are also friendly. They will mingle with the crowd before and after they play and the treat them like they are a part of the family! It's nice to see "Rock Stars" in a relaxed state.
The food is excellent and delicious.
The service can be a little slow and thats only because the waitress can get overwhelmed by so many quests, but they do stay on top of their orders and get the orders correct.
If you need to call and speak to management, they are very friendly and helpful. They will also make you feel like you are not only welcomed, but make you feel like you are at home.
All-in-all, it's a great place to go and relax after a hard day or if you want to go and have a relaxing evening. They even have a dance floor and pool tables if you are up for a little movement.
