Here's a sports bar with a clean, wholesome vibe: guys and gals playing pool in one room, folks at the bar enjoying "the game" in the other (there's also a third room with a separate bar that's opened up on weekends or for private parties). The big draws at this place? It's one of the only bars in the neighborhood with cable TV, broadcasting 140 Padres games a year, and Monday Nights are beloved during football season, thanks in no small part to a great but inexpensive carne asada taco.

There's a nice outdoor patio, tasty food menu, four pool tables, shuffleboard, darts, the usual video games and a jukebox -- everything you need to be sporty. Wooden floors, brick walls and a massive shark on the wall constitute the saloon decor; the crowd is a bit older and mostly Mission Valley locals.

This is the way a sports bar should be. Great atmosphere and best bartenders in the city.

I used to live across the street from McGregors and would frequent the place often. The prices are o.k. but you can't beat the local feel. Don't eat anything Mexican but the Steak Sandwich is amazing! Also, really fun Shuffle Board table is in the back. Give your I.D. to the bartender to rent the game pieces.

Won't ever go back there. Found something unmentionable in our food. Beware.

Would be better with more parking and if the front windows weren't wide open, allowing smoke to come gushing in (tough for those of us with allergies). Did I mention parking is an issue? (Even without stadium events)

This is the closest Sports Bar to Qualcomm Stadium, making it the best place to go before and after a football or baseball game. It has a "Cheers Bar" type of atmosphere, a place where everybody knows your name.
