Our motor home has a steering problem, it stops at every BBQ joint along the highways. A group of our motor home friends and I after trying this restaurant all agree, that it is amoung the best if not the best. Can't wait to go back.

I have been coming to the BBQ house for 16 years despite them moving several times. I even followed them when they moved to Mission Beach for a few years. I have tried many bbqs BUT I keep coming back to the best. Not only is the food amazing these family owners are great people. I will follow them ANYWHERE!!
My favorite is the bbq beef burritio!

We've tried 7 of the other places on City Guide, but this is by far the BEST!
In addition to being really outstanding taste and good food, its an excellent value.

I grew up in Mississippi and BBQ places were as common as taco shops here. I've had quite a few sandwiches in my time. The BBQ House is flat out incredible- reminds me of 20+ years ago... You can smell the place up the block and it's like "WOW...THAT's what I'm havin' for lunch!"
My young son and I eat there several times a week, sometimes even twice a day. It just never gets old. And the people are nice. If you are in a hurry, just call ahead and order up. They are very efficient.

The picture here needs to be updated. The newer location is much bigger and cozier. Now, the food is incredible. Fairly diverse menu with everything that should be served in a BBQ restaurant, plus a few little surprises! Try the BBQ Burrito. your choice of meat in anything you order and your choice of spiciness. This family owned and operated restaurant is well worth the trip. If I were you, I would skip Phil's. They don't come close, in quality or friendliness
