everything was overpriced to begin with. then there was a pretty good sized SPIDER in my girlfriends strawberry topped waffle. i can make a waffle at home for .15 cents not seven dollars. so they acted all retarded about where it coulda came from and it was obvious that they could not care less. ill never go there again.

I've gone the the Antique Row off and on for more than 10 years, but only when others want to go. The place is not bad, but then it is not especially good either. The last time I was there, we ate outside at a sidewalk table. All of the tables were covered with flies. They had small electric fans on each table which were ineffective in blowing the flies away. I have not been back since, for obvious reasons. They had no idea where the flies were coming from. I hope they solved the problem

Their COBB SALAD is my FAVE!!!

I am addicted to their Cobb salad, it is a must try! I go there all the time just to eat their cobb salad. Not to mention their theme, atmosphere, and service is also excellent. As much as I love this place, I do feel that their dishes are a little overpriced.

Food for the masses

One of the best things I like about Antique Row Cafe on Adams & 30th is that it's within walking distance of my home. The outdoor steating is nice when I want to bring my dog, although during the summer months can be a bit hot, and plenty of flies swarming on your food. If you go on Saturday or Sunday morning between 9 and noon, expect there to be a wait, although usually only 20 minutes.

This place is definately not the gem that everyone here has rated. The food is definately "for the masses", which is why they are able to bring it to you so quickly. There are no chefs back in this kitchen, and perhaps that's why the prices are low and the portions high. I'd consider this place a notch up from Denny's or Rudford's, but my friends and I all prefer Brian's over Antique Row any day of the week. And, for the money, I'd rather go a little bit further and hit up The Mission Cafe on University in North Park. However, for the convenience, Antique Row Cafe can't be beat!

Cool Staff, Sub Denny's food

Cool staff here but the food is truly sub-Denny's.

Theres a great little spot about 50 feet south of Antique Row on 30th called Jayne's Gastropub. Food, service and decor there is outstanding. I think they've only been open a short while but they are creating a big buzz.

My wifes biggest complaint is that the portions are too big and the food is too good, that all adds up to a big cow butt for her (her words, not mine). The food is the best,, the service is fast, friendly, and courteous. I still don't know how they get the food out to you so fast after you order, but they do. This is my favorite place (El Cajon). I still haven't been to the store on Adams Ave.
