Take a break from the fast-paced Sunset scene at the Tiki-Ti in Los Feliz/Silverlake. Easily mistaken for a tool shed on the outside, this tiny lounge houses some of the best (and strongest) tropical drinks in Los Angeles. Half of the place is taken up by the thatch-roof bamboo bar overflowing with surf kitsch and plastic Hawaiian hula dolls that sway at a rate relative to the number of Malibu rum and pineapples you've had. Rumor has it the antiquated rule of "no dancing or kissing" still applies, although both may happen by default in the 50-person capacity room. Smoking, however, is allowed, so bring your sense of irony with you. Entirely family-owned and operated, the Tiki-Ti has a habit of being open at random, so call ahead before you get your heart set on that frothy pina colada. If you're feeling adventurous, ask the bartender to whip up the house special -- you might forget what it was, but you can't forget the Tiki-Ti.

    Tiki-Ti (pronounced: tea), has been Los Angeles' best kept secret until recently. I have been a patron for some 30 + years and the younger crowd that comes in now, think that they have discovered a new trend. Believe me, the Tiki-Ti is no trend. It is a tradition! Stop in, you'll be treated like family (O'hana). Going on almost 50 years of the best drinks L.A. has to offer!

    Very cozy but you just can't beat the tropical drinks, vibe and friendliness at this place being three generations old. Try a Jim's Special also !

    Weak stomachs beware!! The Tiki-Ti is one of the best places in Los Angeles to get throughly and honestly drunk. I'm not talking kinda tipsy, I'm talking FULL BLOWN - "i hope i dont get pulled over" drunk. Be careful though, the drinks dont taste as great on the way up as they do on the way down. Long live the Blood and Sand!!! TOOOOOOROOOO TOOOROOOO TOOOOROOOO TOOORRRROOOOOOOO!!! OLE!!!

    Strap on your face for some seriously wonderful drinks. Hi-test and DE-licious. The place is small and strangers are friendly. Smoke 'em if you got 'em.

    my boryfriend and I loved it. can't wait to go back and enjoy some more drinks...gotta try the toro toro!!!
