MJ's has become one of the best bars in SoCal, bar none! Tuesday night offers some of the most fun you can have with your clothes on, and brings together some of the hottest guys from all over SoCal, including some young cuties in Weho. Everyone checks their pretension in at the door, comes in and has an insanely good time!

You really cant go wrong with MJ's. Drinks are cheap, bartenders cute, dancers hot and most importantly they've got 2 good nights right now.
1. Club Nur Thursdays- if you're into the middle eastern persuasion, you gotta check out this weekly gay night dedicated to the sights and sounds of the middle east... Where the palestinians boogie with the israeli's...;-)
2. Swallow Fridays - from creator of "Hot Dog", Mario Diaz is back with a new night. Good music, last time i was there, lots of Kylie, deee-lite, M.I.A, Madonna...good stuff.

Club Nur is MJ's Thursday nights and is the hottest place in the city for the night. There's great mix of dance music, and a hookah bar and lounge outside. The crowd is the friendliest, even for Silvelake standards. Hot boys shaking their hips to Middle Eastern music is great to watch and fun to take part in. ClubNur.com gives you more info and pitures. Anthony Lopez and Tattoo Chris, the team behind Tuesday night's "*** ***" and dozens of Promo nights thruout the city, are the new owners of MJ's. Thru a bit of trial and error, they've brought a fresh, party atmosphere to the place on any given night.The afternoons still have that casual, neighborhood feel, with an especially great Friday Happy Hour that draws a wide age range of fun, no attitude men (and a few women of both persuasions, as well) with cheap drink deals and free buffet.
Some of the original barstaff has moved on, but the current crew is as fun and friendly as you could hope to find anywhere. The late night crowds tend to be younger than the early birds, but there's usually plenty of people to make guys and girls of any age feel at ease. Note: If you're going there on a busy night---esp. Tuesday, Friday or Saturday, try to arrive before 9:30 to avoid the cover charge and possible long line at the door.

"Get Out...Mondays"

Just wanted to let people know (gay and straight) that 8 weeks ago on a Monday Night- the bartenders were rude and foul.... (never again).

This is a true experience, and be more than happy to be called on this - as I cant believe this actually happened in SilverLake - of all places.

But I would never recommend a gay club/cruise bar that shouts out to it's cutomer(s) and i quote from the managing bartender:
"Get Out You Stupid F** B** "

No matter the situation, no place of business where you service your customers, should ever talk or address a female who is straight and out with her gay friends, be spoken to.

Let those hateful people behind MJ go down, as every business will have it's fall.
