Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet.

UGH!
I couldnt find the downtown location at 7th & fig so I will post on this one since its the one I wanted to go to but they didnt have any more reservations on valentines day, surprise surprise.
so we dined at the downtown location we had to wait over an hour for them to honor our reservation my bf took me there for valentines day, there were a lot of nfl and nba players there that night and as you can imagine everyone was looking great. I didnt enjoy the server bringing out raw pieces of meat on a cheap looking cart. I thought it was kinda tacky actually.
the steak was ok as were the sides, desert was sup bar. I will never go to the dowtown location again but I will go to their bev hills location, in theory it just has to be better right. the price was fair for this caliber steak house if everything had been right.

The cajun Ribeye & Shrimp Alexander are phenomenal! The staff is just as great!
THE PALM
Can't even believe that anyone would not got o THE PALM when you truly want a great steak!
Depends on which Morton's
I agree with a previous reviewer to avoid the Palm Desert location...but the other Morton's I've been to are unbelievably great and even though I would avoid Palm Desert for the most part....it can still be a hit or miss.
Best Steaks in Palm Desert!
If you what rubbery over cooked rawhide try a Ruth's Chris, Fleming's and LG's, overpriced and BAD service! If you what a real steak that can be cut with a fork then it is Morton's hands down!

I usually eat at LG's in La Quinta, a Ruth's Chris, Fleming's or a little restaurant in Redlands called Citrones, when I want a good ribeye steak. However, I thought I'd try Morton's in Palm Desert for a change. It was a mistake. Although the atmosphere was nice, the food and service were not. We waited entirely too long for our food to be served. The bread was a loaf of onion bread! That's different. The $45 ribeye was cooked to rare, not medium, and was barely warm when served. No need to wait even a minute for it to cool before I could eat it. It was so tough that I had to saw and tear off pieces to eat with a serrated steak knife. I have never seen a Prime steak this tough and with so much fat on it and questioned whether or not this was a lower grade beef. My fiance's meal was also disappointing. We will never eat at Morton's again.
Mostly good

Avoid Palm Desert location. Worst than the plague. Loud, vulgar, awful service, and I had to send back the steak.
Don't Neglect The Burbank One

This one is a block from Warner Brothers, is hidden away, and relatively uncrowded. We found the waitstaff gracious and accomodating, especially to me as a disabled person. No menus were handed out; the server verbally describes the menu, complete with some props. I found my well-done steak a melt-in-your-mouth delight, preferable to The Palm. Save room for the chocolate souffle with the homemade whipped cream.
Great food, elegant atmosphere

I love this place!!!!!! The food is to die for!!! The staff is top of the notch professional...the atmosphere is first class. The prices are steep so either your pockets are deep or you don't mind splurging every now and then!
