The Scene
Although located in the heart of Laguna, this restaurant feels more like a swanky Beverly Hills hot spot. As music plays softly, a fireplace blazes in the corner of the dimly lit dining area, creating a romantic atmosphere. Patio seating allows partial views of the ocean and also boasts a fireplace. Diners enjoy impeccable service.
The Food
The lusciously decadent food is presented with flair. Impressive starters include seared Hudson Valley foie gras served with preserved kumquats, duck confit and pomegranate reduction. The recommended Chateau Lamothe-Guingnard white wine complements the dish nicely. The roasted filet tenderloin with potato-shallot cakes, spinach and a pinot-noir glaze is cooked to perfection. For dessert, a must-have is the chocolate-macadamia cake served with vanilla-bean gelato. Make it even better and pair it with the signature Hush n' Toddy coffee drink.

Not an a good name for
a restaurant that is
loud to begin with
service is not the
best it took us a half hour just to get our
drink order correct (just two people)
service unattentive
and food just so so..
the five star hotels
around this area are making just so so
places the place
my advice to locales
keep driving north
they still know what
a good dining experience

hd1screamineagle - 12/07/2004Knowing one of the owners, Mr. Chuck Rock as a long-time connoisseur of fine dining and wines, it was no surprise when he followed his calling and opened a restaurant. Not just any restaurant, but a first class, delicious experience. If you want to impress your friends, or a date, this is truly the place to get one of the best meals in the city. And check out the wine list, it's a vintners delight!

My wife and myself find that we crave the food!! Excellant service, Great attmosphire, and what a wine list. If there is one resturant to eat at while in Luguna, this is it!!
