    Matsu rarely has an empty table. That's because this hip Huntington Beach sushi parlor on busy Beach Boulevard is a great place to gather with friends or enjoy a romantic dinner for two. The restaurant boasts soothing Japanese music and female servers that look as if they might have been cast as extras in the film 'Memoirs of a Geisha.' The sushi is always fresh and perfectly assembled, while the drinks play an equally important role at Matsu with chilled Ginjo sake presented in a glass bowl and piping hot sake placed in a traditional tokkuri. Matsu proves to be a tour de force among sushi restaurants.

      MATSU IS A 5 ,TRY A 10 AT KIKU,S THIER,S NO SOYBEAN PAPER THIER. ONLY GREAT FRESH FISH .

      Always excellent for sushi and other Japanese food.
      The Quality has always been tops.
      Complaining about seating and parking is not too
      bright because you cannot eat those items, if you want foo.

      We have been eating at Matsu for 12 years now. We dine out frequently and this is still one of our favorite hotspots. No matter what day of the week you try to go, you definately need to make a reservation. Sometimes there's not even standing room in the bar.

      Sushi is incredibly fresh, Tepan Fillet is awesome. Definately try the Fried Calamari or the scallops appetizer. Both are delicious.
      This is a restaurant that will please anyone. Great for large parties.

      The only place we go out to dinner! LOVE Matsu. Great service and the food is amazing! Sushi bar is worth the wait!!!

      PERFECT anniversary dinner... The Love Boat for two. AWESOME steak teriyaki. Nobody makes it better!

      we have been enjoying the food at Matsu for 19 years and think it is the best restaurant in Orange County, we celebrate all family birthdays there, the food is the best

      Visited Matsu Restaurant approx. 20 years ago and it was excellent. My boyfriend is new to eating Sushi and a friend of his recommended this restaurant to him. Could not believe when it ended up being someplace I visited 20 yrs ago. EXCELLENT FOOD...GOOD ATMOSPHERE. I highly recommend the Steak and Shrimp Teryaki. My boyfriend had the SUSHI DINNER and LOVED IT. Try it out sometime!!
