Everything that the owners of the Bodhi Tree present to the customer revolves around healthy living and a serene existence. From the delicate oil paintings of Vietnamese landscapes and paper lanterns hanging from the walls to the calming waters that cascade over small stones at the center of the restaurant, Bodhi Tree was designed with the customer's well-being in mind. Their menu of fresh vegetables, tofu and a wide array of soups makes customers' physical well-being a clear priority as well. Enjoy a complimentary tofu-drop soup as you peruse the menu. Admittedly, the 100-item-plus menu is a bit overwhelming with items like the beef and yellow noodle stew and chicken-satay baguette, but if you're looking for a solid choice, go with the chicken salad. With a mountain of crispy wontons, phony poultry and a decadent Thai peanut dressing all over a blanket of cabbage, it may one of the top salads you will find in OC.

Variety of foods but...

It's used to be the best veggie restaurant in town. I went there many times but it is gradually going down hill. It takes longer to be served. Foods become bland and less tasty. The place seems to attract more and more local hippies. I stopped going there.
Add CommentKyora!

I would recomend this place to even non-vegaterians. My friend Kyora told me about this place and all I can say is WOW!
it was OK...

my first time eating at a vegan restaurant. as a non-vegan, i shouldn't have gone with any expectations, but that's a pretty tough thing to do. anyway, i ordered the lemongrass chicken, but either they gave me the wrong thing or didn't know what lemongrass chicken is supposed to look or taste like. it was tasteful, don't get me wrong (prob cause of the msg), but i don't remember seeing a sliver of lemongrass. and the meat looked more like beef than it did chicken. i thought it was kungpao beef but the waitress insisted it was lemongrass chicken.
one of my friends ordered the chef's special lobster. haha, i took a small bite and it tasted like the shrimp chips the kind you get from the asian supermarkets.
one of my other friends complained to me a couple days later that he had a really bad headache the next day due to msg.
so i've learned a few things about vegan attempts at imitation meat - avoid it!
actually, we ordered spring rolls and wontons, which were pretty good! but i think there was msg in that as well. haha. we probably would have been better off just ordering steamd vegetables and asking for a bottle of oyster sauce.Bad service?
bad service, our plate went to two different tables, came back and the order was wrong, they took it back and the order was still wrong. hungry as we were, we ate it. 10% off yes but, good service means more than that. Not for me.
Best food!

Bodhi tree offers simply the best food out there. It doesn't matter if you're not a vegan/vegetarian, because the food tastes so good, you'll forget it's tofu and mushrooms. Just remember to sit outside and enjoy beautiful Huntington beach with your vegan ice cream or boba afterwards!
