With its exposed brick, dark mahogany wood, modest bar and mirrored walls, Mulberry Street is more of a chic Manhattan hotspot than a rustic mom-and-pop restaurant. Old photos of New York hang along the walls, crisp white tablecloths blanket the tiny bistro tables and retro jazz is continuously piped in through overhead speakers. This isn't your generic Olive Garden -- Mulberry Street is where you want to be when you've grown tired of all you can eat salad and bread sticks.
Most regulars come here for the seafood specials: the linguine and clams, the grilled fish, and the oysters Mulberry, which are grilled on the half-shell with spinach, cheese and breadcrumbs. But like any Italian restaurant worth its weight in marinara sauce, Mulberry's strength is in its baked dishes. The Veal Marsala is a tender, hearty choice and their meatballs pass the true test of any Southern Italian kitchen, as fist-sized orbs with wonderful texture -- not as spicy as one might expect or want, but still very flavorful. -- Michael Alarcon

Friendly neighborhood restaurant
DeeIAm - 08/24/2008Can't wait to take my Grand daughter there that is enrolled at Cal State Fullerton. Our family likes good Italian food and Mulberry's has it. What I noticed was the mixture of all ages of people eating there. I like that.

We love the downtown feeling of Fullerton and the cozy atmosphere of Mulberry Street Ristorante. Always nice to hear a little Jazz while enjoying a great authentic Italian meal.

Intimate seating with only 20 tables and a perfect selection of dishes on the lunch & dinner menu also offering a wide range of daily chalkboard specials including my favorite (HALIBUT or the New Zealand RACK OF LAMB)
please, please, enjoy mulberry yourself and all that the OC has to offer when it comes to truly EXCELLENT italian and fresh seafood!Wonderful date night
gemgirl464 - 01/17/2007My husband and I are newlyweds and just moved to the downtown Fullerton area. We walked over for a date night and were very impressed. It's small, cozy and quite busy but we had a reservation and had no wait time at all. Diners were families and couples old and young. The food was fantastic (I had lasgna- it's totally home made and fresh) AND our waiter was friendly and personable. My husband is a tough critic and even he enjoyed it!
More than pasta!
