There are probably quite a few people that used to attend Fullerton's colleges and universities who can thank Banana's for getting them through the lean financial years. With a breakfast and lunch menu rivaled only by its drink prices, Banana's has been the sole refuge for starving students who want to eat, drink and catch a few unsigned bands and still have enough money left over for the obligatory trip to Del Taco's drive-thru window at 2AM. Done up as a sports bar with college campus bar leanings, Banana's is admittedly a little rough around the edges; located right between the city's industrial district and the train tracks, the bar can get mighty boisterous at times. But get there around 10PM on a Friday or Saturday night and you almost feel like you've just stepped onto the set of 'Animal House,' complete with undergrads throwing back mugs of beer and loud local bands.
