The interior of this restaurant is clean and pretty, but the ribs are good and sloppy and sticky -- just like they should be. The signature baby back ribs served here and at sister store Naples Rib Co. in Long Beach pretty much outstrip any other regional contenders. Carnivores make a habit out of them, and large parties order them by the slab. Prime rib, steak and barbecued chicken are also available at dinner. Meals start off with cornbread, and entrees come with a choice of two side dishes. During the lunch hour, most people opt for sandwiches or entre salads. Dine in the bright, handsomely appointed dining room or, if you have a large party, consider getting a to-go special and bringing it to the nearest park, beach or big backyard. -- Lena Katz

    Gotta go here for the rib bucket. the ribs are moist and have so much bbq flavor unlike several bbq joints around OC that taste preboiled. They sauce them just right where you don't have to add any. Oh and the bbq chicken breast is pretty good to, as a sandwich or as a dinner. You can't lose here.

    Start with a glass of Sterling Merlot and a fresh grilled artichoke I know I do! My husband always gets the Babyback and Prime Rib combo, he swears by it. As less of a meat eater I still love this spot. I get the Luau Shrimp or the Grilled Swordfish, YUM. All meals come with fresh veggies and fruit too, what more could you ask for?

    Over the years we have had Newport cater events thrice at their place and several times at other venues.

    The senior plate with ribs and/or chicken is a great value and more than enough, even for a guy they call Bubba.

    The servers are young, energetic, and very personable. It's difficult not to appreciate their exhuberance. They are well trained and it shows.

    This place is always great. You can't beat the ribs & chicken combo with an onion brick. The service is good too considering most of the servers are teenagers. I've been here many times and have had no problems at all. If you want some good food...check this place out.

    Wether its their Baby back ribs, or my personal favorite prime rib, chicken, BBqed Chopped Chicken salad, Beef Ribs, Fresh swordfish....whatever its all delicious! The servers are warm and accomodating and what they may lack in professioalism they more then make up for in the effort to make the guests happy!
    I love this place you will too!
