With an extensive Southwestern menu in the family-friendly dining room, and margarita-induced good times in the bar, Coyote is a sure-fire bet for a fun evening. Whether you're in the mood for some fine flautas or top-notch tequila shrimp, the grill is constantly firing up tasty fare. You won't find them on the menu, but ask your server to hook you up with mini burritos and other dishes for the young ones.
Coyote's patio is a big-time draw. There are few really good musical venues along North County's coast, but every night of the week at Coyote, you'll find live bands playing everything from jazz and blues to swing and southern rock. You might even see some of the guests get up and cut a rug. The fire rings on the patio are prized real estate, so get outside early so you and your sweetie can hug close in the warmth. If you don't have a special someone, the bar is an ideal spot to remedy that situation, with a great singles scene that sees everyone from twentysomethings to middle-agers.

"Red string onions" are good
imweblover - 01/19/2007The rest of the menu is ok - not great just ok. Service is slow even when not crowded. WARNING:::: Park in their parking lot at your own risk. One minute over 3 hours and you get towed and cost well over $200 to get your vehicle back. So don't dawdle at the karaoke bar.

thechach44 - 01/23/2005Took my girlfriend here for our 1 year anniversary. Food was pretty good, but kinda a bummer that we had to sit inside. Karaoke outside was too loud. Service was good but could be improved a little. All in all though it was a good experience.

ramzihayden - 04/29/2004We were tourist for a week in the area and unfortuately found Coyoto on our last night. It was 7ish in the evening, we brought the kids, ate an excellent meal inside, then sat outside and listen to music as we sat fireside. By this time the croud had thinned and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere! The salsa was the BEST I've had!!

djazerina - 05/30/2002Just don't drink and drive! Carlsbad police are on the job and on the look out for drunk drivers as they should be Thanks Carlsbad PD! Drink responsibly, take a cab, it's a lot cheaper than a DUI and you won't kill anyone!

I really enjoyed the Mariachi Del Mar Band that plays Fridays in the afternoon. They are a fun group and ad accent to the scrumptious meal.
