If Breas Best had a proper dining area (as opposed to its few plastic-molded seats in the back), a bigger parking lot and sassy waitresses in hot pants, it could easily be Breas version of a Happy Days '50s drive-in. The teenage overspill from nearby downtown Brea runs this burger joint on the weekends (which is in partly due to good prices -- a burger combo averages about $5), but the weekdays are made up of workaday stiffs who stop in for breakfast on the go and the lunch hour. The morning fare consists mostly of hefty breakfast sandwiches and burritos, but come lunchtime, the patties hit the grill and the line extends to the parking lot. The basic burger consists of sesame-seed buns, slathered with Thousand Island dressing, fresh lettuce, onions and tomato slices -- nothing out of the ordinary, but substitute ostrich for the beef and you have yourself a unique take on lunch.

    There isn't any finer than Brea's Best in my opinion. Even their French Fries are exceptional. A warning however. If you are trying to impress a date with surroundings and ambiance Brea's Best is not the best place to take her. It's pretty stark, clean and functional, is a good way to put it. The wife and I love the food ! Oh, and they make breakfast also.

    The wife and I have lived all over the United States and have eaten in more Burger Joints in the past 50 years, than I care to recall. The long and short of it is, I have never eaten a better Hamburger, than I have enjoyed at Brea's Best. So when the wife and I decide it's time for a Burger & Fries, we always head out to Brea's Best. There is none finer, that I know of.

    I have been eating there since it was converted to Brea's Best from the original Brea Carl's Jr. , sometime in late 70's early 80's. The two owners were always there cooking and supervising the cooks so the consistent quality was something you could always count on. Their burgers and onion rings are simply the BEST!

    We live in the area and run into friends there all the time. People come from all over to eat these wonderful burgers. They have all kinds of food and it is all so good.

    Having grown up and also worked in this area, Brea's Best has been a staple in my life for a long time. It is still the BEST American diner/hamburger place anywhere. Their burgers are flavorful and thick, their sandwiches are nice and fresh, and they have the best onion rings in the whole world! Also, you can't beat the menu variety and the prices. Run, don't walk, to Brea's Best, and you'll never have chain food again!

    I grew up in Brea so I was lucky to have this burger place in my city. Brea's Best is where the original Carls Jr was so its very small but they did add on to the dining area. (still small) Get the onion rings, they are to die for. Rumor has it that they hand cut the onions and then dip them in the batter!!! So yummy. The best onion rings on the planet. And the patty melt is really good too. If you have never been to Brea's Best, you have not lived. Allison

    Great turkey burgers are hard to find, and Brea's Best has the best in Orange County! For many years, I was a loyal customer while living in Fullerton, and now that I'm living in Irvine, I wish the owners of Brea's Best would open locations in the Tustin / Irvine area and in South County where my parents and siblings live.
