The tag line says it all: Rainforest Cafe is "a wild place to shop and eat." This branch, located in Downtown Disney in front of the California Adventure theme park, is a fun spot to take the kids after a day of rides at Disneyland. Tried-and-tested, kids love the giant waterfall and periodic thunder and lightning storms, during which tropical animals begin to move and make noise throughout the restaurant. The primary draw here is the ambience, but there are also Caribbean cocktails and an extensive menu featuring pastas, chops and sandwiches, as well as some more "exotic" dishes like Magambo shrimp pasta and caribe coconut chicken. As you leave, don't forget to check out the shop for items from around the world. That way, you can tell people you visited a rainforest, and have more than just a full stomach to prove it.

We went to Rainforest Cafe last weekend... and although I like the idea of the animatronics and the rainshowers, it doesn't make up for the waitstaff and food.Needless to say, no more Rainforest Cafe for us. This was our second visit... the first visit had mediocre service... the second trip was just horrid.

I love this restaurant. The food is great, I go every year for my birthday. I ask to sit by the monkeys. The retail store is the best!

Well, at least the wait isn't long any more. People who've been there once now stay away. A real joke. Strictly for small children and clueless adults.

Love my waitress and all the staff. The green drink with the glass you can take home was wonderful. The decaf was great. The rice, salad, sauce, and crabcakes were OH SO YUM. MOMMY. The storms were fun - wish it were longer. They must hire only happy, nice, and smart people. The atmosphere was one of a kind. Anywhere I vacation from now on I'll seek out a Rainforest Cafe to enjoy first. If I were a rich I'll tip everyone of them a $1,000. Everyone in my party agree. See you all soon. Oh, and they really know how to do business - not like some tourist spots around the world and San Franscisco Chinatown where they won't let you take pictures. Why? We never buy any souvenir in shops where they won't let us take pictures - here or abroad. The most famous tourist spot in HongKong The Pennisular Hotel won't allow pictures so we didn't "high tea" there. Their lobby is so noisy and smoky we didn't shop there either. We bought a T-shirt and a pen each at the RFC gift shop. Just love it there. Go.

I admitt the wait is long. But while you are waiting you can walk around downtown disey and go into the shops and look around or buy something.Believe me it make it go faster. But when you do get your tableThe service is great, employees are nice too. With a bounch of hot guys working there lolz.. The chicken pita is well worth the $7.99. I love this place..!!

The food was okay, and service from our waiter and host were good but management sucks.. Towards the end of my meal some girl was windexing the tables because they were closing up early in the section we were sitting in... and she sprayed too close to my food and it got on my food and my hands~! I looked up and thought it stred to rain.. and my boyfriend gave me a weird look because I thought it was raining.. he was on the phone at that time.... then later during the night I felt so sick to my stomach... so then we called the restaurant and I talked to one of the managers and told them the story.. and they said they would call me the next day... they never did.. so I called back abouit 2 weeks later and once again they said they would call back... but they never did.. I hope they go out of business because it's apparent they don't care much about customers... whatever..

I halved the rating because of the service, we were really enjoying the meal, happily munching away through our burgers when the waitress come shooting up, asked if we wanted desert and then gave us the bill! It made us feel rushed, we weren't even half way through, so we left without ordering a volcano! It was a shame as up to then i would have given the place a six! It wasn't as though they were even busy, there were empty tables around us.
