cdn.channel.aol.com/exploremore/cb_dining.html" height="240" width="220" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="margin-left:5px;float:right;"> Right in the heart of Dogtown, St. Louis's traditionally Irish neighborhood, this venerable Irish pub serves what some call the best hamburgers in town. It also serves up frothy pints of Guinness, Harp and other Irish delicacies. It looks just as an Irish pub should with its low lighting, prevalent dark wood and a long, smooth bar framing a giant mirror. Old pictures of Ireland and St. Louis fill the walls, along with flags and framed certificates attesting to the honorary Irish citizenship bestowed upon the owner and his staff. Several TVs show all the local sports, and the ubiquitous Golden Tee video game lurks in a corner. The crowd is a good mix of locals and some less-frequent, older patrons stopping in for a beer or a meal -- and the staff treats both with just the right amount of humor and attitude. It's a great neighborhood pub and a top spot to observe the Dogtown St. Patrick's Day festivities.
