Everyone loves a good hamburger. And most people love it even more when it's served in a fun setting with colorful lamps, balloons, movie memorabilia and carousel horses. That's why it's easy to see how Red Robin, a chain restaurant around the St. Louis area (and the country), is packing in diners by the droves. Most families love that it's 100 percent non-smoking and offers choices for finicky appetites, and friends love that it provides a lighthearted gathering place with reasonable prices. It boasts 24 burgers in all, including ''signature selections'' like the Royal Red Robin, the Banzai and the Whiskey River BBQ Burger. Most are priced under $8 and come with a basket of bottomless steak fries. Two kinds of veggie burgers are also offered, along with a portobello burger, a fish burger and a grilled turkey burger. Chicken burgers, wraps, salads and a few soups are also offered, along with a drink list that takes up the entire back half of the menu. The environment is loud and the food can be greasy, but the staff is super friendly and the prices are right.

The hunt for a Red Robin in St. Louis is relatively easy for any family, as the restaurant has nested in locations throughout the metropolitan area. Even the most famished of flocks can fill up on their wild selection of gourmet burgers. Plus, you'd have to be a birdbrain to ignore the bottomless steak fries, not to mention "chillin' concoctions" like the monster milkshakes and malts -- highly recommended for appetites of all ages.

Red Robin is all hype. We saw the commercials, always on the hunt for a great burger. After watching the ads we put this on our place to try list. What a waste! Very Disappointing. The gourmet part of their burgers is the toppings, on a little crappy burger with no flavor, similar to a McD's patty. As chains go Hardees has them beat, and Culpepper's has great service with better burgers. Oh, great for kids...cause its so loud in there you can't hear your own.

I think it's pretty disgusting that a big chain restaurant like Red Robin is listed among the best of our city's dining experiences.

Shouldn't this be about local fare, the best OUR CITY has to offer???

Not to mention, this place has some of the worst service I've ever experienced at a casual dining restaurant.

Everything that I have tried seems exceptional. I especially like the salads and the burgers.
