With mainstays like tasty but unimaginative spinach and artichoke dip and fried chicken tenders, the standard menu at this popular Winter Park restaurant isn't anything out of the ordinary. Still, the Atlanta-based chain packs the tables nightly with a sociable crowd of thirty-somethings who seem to enjoy the bar-like atmosphere as much as the reliable and hearty bistro fare. You can relish waterfront views across Lake Killarney from most tables while you dine. The Fork and Knife Ribs are touted as so tender that you don't even have to use your fingers to eat them. While not listed on the menu, they're also available in a an appetizer portion. Vegetarians will appreciate a variety of pastas and salads on the menu, and popular desserts include Key Lime pie and apple walnut cobbler. The atmosphere is decidedly more Northeastern than Floridian, with lots of dark wood, and exposed-beam ceilings that add a lodge-like appeal to the place.

BALELO - 08/01/2008I been a customer of Houston's for many years. I love their fork and knife ribs and the food is always great, except one time. However, the service is not that great. I been to more than 10 Houston's in different states. Service has never been that great. To top if off, I went tho Houston's in Santa Monica last week with my family and got kicked out because I was wearing a sleeveless shirt. As I was exiting, a girl almost naked (I couldn't help but stare at it) with mini skirt and a provocative top gets seated with no problems. I called to complaint and someone in their corporate offices told me that the policy was only for men. They're lucky that I am not a sue happy person. DISCRIMINATION to say the least. If I was to rate it in their food, I would say Very Good or Excellent but because I am voting in their service, I am voting poor.

Jwallacewilson - 07/25/2008Its been a few years since i've lived in Orlando. We would go to Houstons with friends, and have a ripping good time. Their virgin drinks-Out of this World, the food- never the same thing-wonderful, we would have to let our meals settle for dessert, sometimes an hour and our servers were GREAT, Then bring on the applewalnut,YUM....
Some people had the idea that you had to be well off to be accepted there, we are just everyday people and a Great time was had by ALLHouston has had a problem
Sarah4evr2000 - 07/25/2008I've been there a few times and every single time the food SUCKS! Not sure why people go there, but it seems to me it's a middle-aged to older pick up bar. I live in WInter Park and for this place to be #1???? This must be a mistake......
