With the popularity of low-carb diets and the proliferation of 24-hour fitness clubs, one might think that a place like LC's Hamburgers would fold under the weight-loss of an increasingly health-conscious society. Au contraire, mi grande American. Like gas-guzzlers, baseball, bald eagles and democracy, Americans will never exorcise the greasy hamburger from our ample boundaries. Thus explains the popularity of LC's ''Big Deal'': a quarter-pound hamburger topped with cheese and grilled onions, served with a bucket o' french fries (pardon our French, that's Freedom fries in these parts) and frosty-fizzy fountain drink. If you don't like hamburgers, you were kind of stupid for heading to a place called LC's Hamburgers. But don't freak, the pork-fried tenderloin sandwich (topped with tomato and lettuce) is the perfect choice for those on a diet. Continuing their commitment to healthy eating, LC's also offers thick, creamy flavored milkshakes -- 'cause calcium promotes strong bones, and strong bones promote a strong America. It may take a half-tank of gas to get to LC's Hamburgers in the Northland. But as your mother always said, you can't put a price on good health... or one of the best burger spots in the city.

Disgusting
My fiance and I travel around every Friday in search of the best burger around. After reading reviews on here, we took a chance on LC's last Friday and it was the first time we've been disappointed by our Friday night burger joint choice. Don't be fooled by the local award plaques sticking around. (I am certain those are held up with fly strips.) This place was definitely a whole in the wall but with bad food. The junk was overpriced for the quality, the burgers, though decently sized, were so greasy I kid you not when I say the grease literally ran down my arm from the fried tasteless patty. I don't know what that stuff is on there they call cheese either but it was reminiscent of soft imitation school cheese product or cheese whiz. The fries, were small and so soaked in grease you could not get beyond the vegetable oil flavor because that's all they were and they don't give you even a hand full either. Beyond the food, the regulars also stared at us like they'd never seen an interracial couple before. It was like stepping back in time to a 50's diner alright...
If grease is what you like, your money is better served at Culver's. At least you know the grease running down your arm is butter. Don't waste a trip here - this is no place for those seeking a good quality burger. Disgusting!Comments(0)|Add CommentThe best "Big Deal" you can find.....
I've been going to LC's for the last 15 years. Once you've tried the burgers or even the tenderloins you'll keep going back. The prices is still affordable to be able to take the family out.
