All things considered, Ollie's may be the most popular burger joint ever in relation to its tiny size. In fact, it's a trolley car -- literally. Patrons walk in through one end of the trolley, place their order from the freight train-sized menu, grab their grub and then exit at the other end -- an epic journey of maybe 10 feet. The outdoor picnic tables surrounding Ollie's Trolley are conducive to summer dining. Ollie's has a reputation for the best open pit beef and pork ribs in the neighborhood, which they grill outside on the weekends. Try the house specialty rib tips or the massive 1/3-pound Ollie burger with all your favorite fixings.

Thanksgiving Day Horror
So, I ordered my deep fried turkey from Ollie's Trolley for Thanksgiving and was told to be down there to pick it up at 12:15 on Thanksgiving day. I got down there at 11:50 thinking that should be plenty of time to get in line before I was scheduled to be there and then get the turkey around the time that I was scheduled to get it. I stood in line for 45 minutes before I got to the point where I could pay for the turkey inside the trolley. That was fine, I planned on there being a wait of some type and didn't figure I would get to leave before 1...no big deal... I then waited outside of the restaurant for another 4.5 hours along with another 20-30 people as they brought out the deep fried turkeys 2 at a time over through out the afternoon with no explanation as to what was going on with them and all of the people that were working the counter inside had a total attitude problem even when people were just asking questions and still being totally polite to them. I waited around that place till 5pm when my name was FINALLY called to get my turkey. If I wasn't sure that Kroger was already out of the already cooked turkeys I would have asked for a refund and gone elsewhere, but by that point it was already a lost cause... People asked to speak with Ollie and he would not even come out of the place to face the angry crowd.
I will never go back there for anything again to say the least and I must say that was my worst experience there ever... I have had many good food experiences there in the past, but that totally turned me off to the place.Comments(0)|Add Comment
