Cold Christian Moerlein, a warm summer day and a seat on the deck of City View Tavern in Mount Adams -- it can't get much better than this. Sure, Cincy offers more than its fair share of places to grab a brew outside, but none can offer the amazing view of the city like this tiny spot on the hill. Filled with "regular people," City View is the place to go with friends when you have nowhere to be, the perfect pub to sip a pint on a warm, lazy Saturday, if you're lucky enough to get one of the few tables on the tiny deck. Inside, a few four-top tables offer back-up seating, as do plenty of stools at the bar, where the lunch crowd munches on Big Ted burgers served in plastic baskets with chips. If you're looking for anything fancier, move on up the hill. But for times when simple pleasures -- cold beer, great view, big burgers -- are satisfying enough, City View delivers.

City View is my first stop when I'm in town. Can't get enough "Big Teds" Thick & juicy & perfectly awsome! Don't change a thing. The only thing that would make them better is if they were closer to home.

  • Best Burgers

This place has the best burgers in town and puts all of the others to shame. Not to mention the view of the city, the best atmosphere and awesome bartenders.

Graham, our bartender made us the best burgers i have ever had. Even with a six-item menu they put Arthur's to shame. There's a great view and no-nonsense approach to bartending which only add to the classical tavern feel.
