In Hyde Park, the hands-down favorite neighborhood hangout is Arthur's. With its prime location just off Hyde Park Square, Arthur's is almost always packed and bustling with drinkers at the bar and couples and families in the dining room. Great happy-hour specials make the bar a favorite after-work spot, and the weekday Burger Madness special -- unlimited burger toppings -- packs the dining room. The varied menu also includes sandwiches, pastas, salads and homemade soups, plus a full list of appetizers for sharing over cold draft beers. An outside patio surrounded by climbing vines makes a great date spot in the warmer months.

Tripnloud - 06/29/2008A well kept secret is clovernooks snack bar known as the Nook every year we have our golf outing,its my rare chance to have a half pound of the juiciest well seasoned hamburger i ever had , with leaf lettuce thin sliced onion, medium sliced tomato, your choice of four cheeses ,on a medium thin bun.Its a shame the club is private.

Tgfl2001 - 05/31/2008Burgers are great ,so are the happy hour prices,. But the fried cheese is fantastic! It's a meal in itself. Cut into huge chunks, not sticks like you would typically expect. Deep fried and served hot! I'm getting hungry just thinking about them!

I joined here just to say that because he may have had one bad experience or perhaps is paranoid at being looked at, but it is a great place. It has great food for the money, the staff is on top of it, and it has a great atmosphere. Sitting outside in the summer is great!
LIKE WAITING FOR YOUR FOOD?
hologram329 - 12/08/2007then come to arthur's cafe where all the hyde park stuck up yuppies come to eat and drink. Their hamburgers are horrible and look like a big cow pile. Drinks are extremely watered down and the servers think they are better than everyone else and probably make about $8 an hour if that. Everyone in this place loves to stare at you while you eat and the parking outside sucks. The manager with the short light brown hair does not care about their customers or their experience at arthur's. I recomend do not come to this place, all you'll get is bad attitudes and all the yuppies you can handle.
