The Comet Grill is owned by a professional musician and it shows. With live music almost every night and a casual, fun atmosphere, this place has regular customers as loyal as Norm and Cliff were to Cheers. The menu features mostly grill-fare dishes, but they are served by a friendly staff and are consistently above par. Of particular fame are the Comet Grill's burgers, considered by many to be the best in the Carolinas.
With its neighborhood feel and nightly entertainment, the Comet remains family-friendly. The music is usually acoustic or pop rock, with the occasional jam band slipping in for variety. To add to the fun, there's an upper level that looks down over the dining room, where you can engage in a game of foosball or pool. clheltarchitect - 09/22/2005We ate lunch here for a co-workers b-day. Found it in the Observer "voted best burgers". We enjoyed the food very much!! The burgers were very good!!!

so my wife and I drove across town to eat lunch on 9/10/05. I was very disappointed in the service. Our waitress could not get our order right, therefore we sent the food back and it still came back wrong. The food was alright but it was not that great. The beer was not even good and cold, and you will notice a fan sitting to the right as you walk in the door pointing towards the bar & grill that is caked with dust. The place needs cleaning very badly. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.Kent, Jennifer & Cameron
jdshks28 - 01/29/2005Been going to the Comet Grill for 5 yrs. and have never had a bad meal. My family and I recently moved to Lake Wylie,SC and still make the drive 3 to 4 times a month to eat the BEST BURGERS & HOMEMADE FRIES on the PLANET. If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for?
