The Best
DEDAC - 06/16/2008I have been going to Top Notch since it open in 1971 and I have not found any Fried chicken that comes close to this. Its the best.

Danmttsb - 05/16/2008Top Notch is a family owned, 50's style join on Burnet Raod, which has good food. The owners, family, are friendly, personable, and ensure that you get what you pay for. The service is "eat in" or "take out" and the staff is first rate.
The hamburgers are very good...I favor the "longhorn burger"chargrilled for you while you wait.
The Best of the Best though at Top Notch Burger..is the fied chicken....Now this is the best in Austin and in all of Texas it's only rivaled by Frenchies in Houston. If you don't do anything else in your search for Fried Chicken, while in Austin, find "TOP NOTCH BURGERS" Either the chicken or the hamburgers. You can't go wrong. I think they're closed on Sunday. It's a drive thru joint and has been in several movies........it's a relic of the 50's, but the food ...Man, you're going to love that Chicken!
