Two huge outdoor patios (one with live music, one without) seat nearly 1200 people (no kidding) for festive Mexican and southwestern lunches and dinners and the ever-bustling weekend brunches. On the main patio, you'll find red and white checkerboard tablecloths, white wicker chairs, huge leafy trees and retractable canopies overhead. A corner stage features live music seven days a week. It's loud, but not overpowering and the mood is somewhere between a concert and a club.
Inside, the place feels more like a sports bar with a large rectangular bar, high ceilings, exposed rafters and sawdust on the floor. There's also an indoor stage for those cold-weather months. The music is generally classic rock and -- and not that the place skews old, but you won't feel uncomfortable if your parents are with you except maybe the six times a year, when the place hosts live boxing events. Otherwise, the tostada salad is great and huge -- and you never see a dearth of grill food and sandwiches at lunch. The dinner menu varies, but for the most part, expect full meals. And don't forget, despite its obvious size, the place still gets packed during the summer, so call for reservations.

Pretty Good But For Sunday Brunch The Alamo in Newbury Park is better
The Alamo in Newbury Park off the 101 at Borchard Road is much better for Sunday Brunch if good food is what you're after. Try the Sagebrush...but try The Alamo next.
Comments(0)|Add CommentWhew, I heart Sagebrush!
This place is an awesome meet and greet spot for casual encounters and casual business lunches/dinners alike. There are always plenty of characters present to act as people-watching subjects and the food is nothing to scoff at. The sawdust on the floor and the proximity to the 101 are big reasons why I keep coming back...
