In Short
Vivid reds, pinks and oranges dominate in this modern dining room that was reportedly inspired by the sunset. Subdued mahogany tables, natural wood floors and large fabric panels provide a balance to energetic colors. Located downstairs from the downtown hotel's main lobby, the windows look out over the outdoor terrace and the grassy hillside sloping down to the lake. Hotel guests and well-to-do Austinites dine on classic meals flavored with seasonal sides and local garnishes.

    Having lived in Europe for more than 20 years, and spent more than 15 as Chef /proprietor of restaurants in the U.S. and abroad, I think I bring a bit more to the table than most. I admit to being rather "fussy" about food and TRIO meets and exceeds my expectations every time. There is a lot of hype in the restaurant businesses and some times it's easy to get confused by the hype surrounding many mundane eating places into thinking they're producing much more than "hot air" out of their kitchens. TRIO is the real thing. The quality is genuine, the ambiance is truly unique and if you're not "blown-away" by your dining experience at Austin's best high-end gourmet hideaway- you must be either the most difficult customer in the world or the least interested in fine dining.
    Check it out and you really will be glad you did.
