There are those among us who believe breakfast is the most important meal of the day -- no matter what time you eat it. Furthermore, some of those same people don't want to pay a small fortune for it. That's why places such as Sunny Side Up are a godsend. The menu here has all the great stuff breakfast-loving skinflints dream of, and all for only a few bucks. The priciest items listed are less than $7, and they're all heart-stoppers with steak, chops or Italian sausage served with eggs and the extras. Omelettes, eggs benedict, pancakes and Mexican specialties offer more choices. There are a couple of kid's breakfasts to choose from as well. Burgers, sandwiches and salads show up around lunchtime -- another important meal -- in case you eat at dawn and want to come back later, but are only available on weekdays. A la carte items are numerous... and under a dollar or two. The bright and colorful interior of Sunny Side will help you greet the day or carry on through the rest of it. If you were up late last night, you can get your ''morning'' nourishment until 3PM.

No show food and the run around..
I love Sunnyside up- we eat their regularly and while the service is always slow the servers are pleasant and the atmosphere is fabulous! Until last week- we can in and it was not really busy, ordered and after 1 HOUR still had NO food. Our server only came back to refill our drinks 1 time and never offered an explanation for the delay. We finally tracked her down and when we asked where our food was she was rather flippant and said it's not ready. After an hour??? WE asked for a manager and were told there was not one there. We left starving as we had to go :-( This was bad enough but when I called to talk to a manager I was given the run around for 4 calls- same story- no one there. Finally today I was exasperated and told the server on the phone that this was rather ridiculous- she then told me there was no manager only an owner and she (the server) had been given instructions to field the phone calls as the owner was avoiding a bank? Wierd. She said the owner had been in and out all week. She then went and got the owner who finally got on the line and told me she was gone all week because of a death in the family. Now I have gotten the run around and been told a lie somewhere too, she said she was sorry and hoped I come back again...that's it....irritating!

This is such a cute restaurant...they need a chicken dinnerware set that I saw in another restaurant. that served super breakfasts! ..It had www.wellsdesigns.com on the bottom of this plate....Hope this restuarant reads this! Made the restaurant so fun with that kind of atmosphere for a breakfast meal! Then put out some rooster figurines...
I love their Italian sausage with panckaes! WOW!.
I was too tired to know what to order, so I got the eggs benedict special. It was INSANE. Steak, eggs, fried cheese, macaroni, fresh spinach, even blueberries, everything in the world was on it and was piled about six inches high on the plate. Since I usually sleep late, I haven't been back, but from that one visit I would highly recommend this place.
