No one's quite sure how Goody Goody Diner got its name, but fans say it more than describes the food and service you'll find at this north St. Louis landmark. The diner, which opened in 1948, has been run by the same family since 1954. That's why you'll always find breakfast favorites like fried chicken and waffles, fried catfish, buttermilk pancakes and the house specialty of polish hot links with eggs and gravy. For lunch, try a grilled burger; heck, why not have one for breakfast? At Goody Goody, the entire menu is on the table until the kitchen closes for the day at 2PM. Then it's ''bye, bye'' Goody Goody, but not for long. In a matter of hours, there'll be eggs, bacon and a couple of Goody Goody catfish sizzling in the kitchen once again. The menu and atmosphere is very family friendly, so don't feel like you need to leave the kids at home.
