Just as the '61 Cadillac was restyled and reengineered with lower-profile fins and a new, more-prominent grille, this once-cozy cafe has been hugely transformed without losing its essence. In a new building down the street with twice the seating, staff and kitchen space (and a pink '61 Caddy convertible entombed in glass), the new Cadillac is bright and upbeat, still turning out superb breakfasts and even better lunches. A coffee bar boosts the appeal factor up a notch as well. Unfortunately, the wait time has also seriously increased to more than a half-hour on weekends, with Sunday waits often pushing an hour.
Once you get in, enjoy the Bunkhouse Vittles Sampler, a house favorite with corpulent chicken-apple sausages, a pile of spicy fried potatoes, two eggs and a slice of that famous French toast. The French toast, by the way, is made with thick slices of bread, glazed and grilled in custard and served with a crust of hazelnuts. Lunch includes fairly standard cafe offerings of salads, sandwiches, burgers and a few house specialties like the Cadillac Mac 'n Cheese. -- Jo Ostgarden

Good food and fast friendly service. The only down side is wait time which can be extensive on weekends. I highly suggest a visit if you haven't been there but wait maybe not that will make the line longer. Uh, it's really not that good honest. ;-)

Good homecooked-style food and lots of it. Anything with potatoes is recommended. Small, personable, wear what you feel comfortable wearing. While kids do not have a special place on their menu, they will modify a selection if asked. Friendly service with a smile and a wink Not very expensive at all. All selections are priced very reasonably. I eat out a couple times a week but usually at some place like mcdonalds, my son's favorite restaurant. I go to places like this restaurant a couple times a month. Anything ethnic, spicy and hard-to-identify
