In a neighborhood overflowing with chic restaurants, bars and coffeehouses, Tom's is the missing piece of the puzzle -- a diner that's open 24/7. Not your typical greasy spoon, Tom's is a prettified Hollywood version of a diner, complete with plenty of stainless steel and chrome, plus a long counter and comfy booths. The menu includes all the classics: tasty breakfasts, sandwiches, milkshakes and juicy burgers, plus a few surprises, like gyros and pizza.

The wallpaper above the booths has been gathering signatures over the years, ranging from those of local television news broadcasters to average joes. (Best to check with your waitress before leaving your own mark.) The clientele is a mix of youngsters, artists, musicians and older folks who remember the glory days of diners. Everyone, after all, can appreciate a good cheeseburger.

  • Great Portions Great Food!

Wow, what a find. Two uniquely different concepts rolled into one. We ate at Tom's Diner and had great service and the quality of the food was excellent as well with great portions. During our visit we were told about the Folino's side and after we ate we took a peek and what a neat place our next visit we are going to try that side. Will be telling all our friends about Tom's and Folino's.

I liked Tom's a lot more before their big make-over. Now the food costs too much for what it is.

  • going down hill

I used to like Tom's, but I don't think I can eat there anymore...it really went down hill. It's dirty, the service sucks, the food is nasty, the iced tea tastes like dirt, and it takes forever to get the check. And listening to everyone that works there complain about the owner is getting old!

They should serve a 45 cal, hand gun with breakfast to blow your head off for the cholestoral, that comes with the food. It is tasty though.
