Located across from 100 Oaks Mall, this small converted house is a great alternative to the chain coffeehouses that have become commonplace in Nashville. It attracts an offbeat mix of students and folks who frequent the artsy, eclectic stores in the immediate area. Sam & Zoe's is a great place to hang out with friends or to study. The food -- which ranges from sandwiches to smoothies -- is consistently good and reasonably inexpensive. It also has a nice range of options for vegetarians.
