Named after its fondness for the blueberry (the best thing to happen to antioxidants since sliced apples), Blu Jam curiously has only two dishes that utilize the fruit: crepes and pancakes. Don't mind it, though, as both will leave you anything but blue. With its polished floors, pristine wood-backed chairs and art-lined brick walls, the dining room feels almost like an art gallery, so immaculate that crumbs have no place. The crowd is primarily a Melrose shopping, vintage-hounding hipster set that digs the global vibes and victuals such as the salmon nicoise salad, the "Roma via Paris" eggs and Blu Jam signature gnocchi in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce.

    I go to Blu Jam at least twice a week. Everything on the menu is great. My favorites are the Powerhouse Breakfast, The Eggwich and the Salmon Platter. They have a great staff and owner and really treat you right. Also, right when you get there someone will bring you fresh bread and an olive tapenade dip. Blu Jam rocks.

    Ive been going to blujam since I moved into the neighborhood last summer. My husband and I enjoy going to blujam about twice a week and feel so lucky that we moved into an area so close we can walk. Anytime I have a friend visiting from out of town I know just where to bring them and know somethings on the menu everyone can enjoy! They have a great handmade veggie burger, an amazing eggwich for breakfast and a friendly staff!
