At one time Brookside's staple had a hole-in-the-wall vibe about it. When new owners took over in 2003, the greasy spoon 'straunt turned into a slick, sleek eatery. Luckily, there weren't many changes to the menu. When you think of the place where everybody knows your name in this neighborhood, it's bound to be Sharp's. The menu has as many options as a TV Guide without the fights over the remote. From cheeseburgers to beef stroganoff to pancakes to biscuits and gravy, there's something here for your whole family to call a favorite, and you might never have the same thing twice. With plenty of seating for large groups and a comfy bar nestled in the back, Sharp's hits the mark with its smorgasbord of food, brunch-time favorites and relaxed atmosphere. It's a hoppin' place to be for Saturday morning breakfast, too.

Fabulous...for now.
I really love the food at Sharp's. I love that it is a small business and still manages to offer a huge, yummy menu. However, Sharp's business has been decreasing exponentially and the turn over is high in employment for multiple reason. Expect them to close before Easter 2009. I once worked there and had a blast. I left for better oppurtunities. There are some great staff there. If you manage a resturant, I would recommend drafting some of the great waiters...

You gotta try this place. Very comfortable and laid back. Huge menu, and their breakfast is soooo good. The staff is all really mellow - it's like being with a bunch of friends. The bar is really cool, too! The new owners turned the bar into a "Harley Davidson" theme - all orange and black, Harley pin ball, Harley stuff all over the place. They also do fundraising for Wayside Waifs (Humane Society), so you the owner's love animals, and I like that. Everytime I go, it makes me think of the show "Cheers". Anyone can find good food here, and good conversation with the staff. OH, and they do Murder Mystery nights once a month on Thursdays - I went for my first time last month. There's a script handed out to tell you the story, a body laying in a window with clues, and some of the staff dress up as potential suspects and you interview them. Then, you guess at who the murderer was....and if you're right, you get $ to spend at the bar or for food! FUN IDEA!
Not good for lunch
Most positive reviews seem to be for breakfast, but I can say Lunch was horrible except for the beer which was bottled. I had the summer salad grilled Ahi...God that was bad. The Tuna was like leather dry and extra stiff - this resembled nothing that was ever in the sea and the waiter seemed helpless in his stained tee shirt. Sorry to post this under a friend's screen name but since she's online I had to write this down before the topic left my mind. I don't know how this ever qualified as a city's best. Beware
Best Breakfast and Fun Bar
Ok, my review is two fold. Breakfast is the BEST! Love it! Love the staff!! Robin's the best.
Now, the bar...BETH!!! She's our girl! We come there to see her as well as our neighbors... Love you Beth!
