If something more substantial is what you need with your coffee, then Bell Street Mama's is your hangout. The coffee is great and the cups are endless. They serve breakfast all day along with piled-high sandwiches and daily lunch specials. You'll be taken back to your childhood days by treats like open faced meatloaf sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy. The atmosphere is open and laid back. It's not the place to go if you're in a rush, but it's perfect if you're in need of comfort food and good company. -- Kate Cagley

I watch the food networks on video from network food's recipe. They dont list on food recipe .I found the name of the resturant with phone number in front of the store, aslo I found the owner's name Ira Averbach.I called there and ask for the corned beef hash,They refused to give me, I ask how come they show on video without the recipe ? I am come from Michigan.

We saw this diner on the food network and had to try it on our visit to KC.
We tried the french fried french toast, biscuit and gravy with egg and sausage. Excellent service, food was great diner food and ambience was typical run down diner atmosphere. Go early and beat the crowds on Sunday.Have you tried the French toast?
Thick, brown and crunchy on the outside, soft sweet and fluffy on the inside. Amazing
For true breakfast lovers
I went there a few times while I was in town about 6-7 years ago, but hadn't gone back since I moved to town 5 years ago. I finally went this weekend, and immediately remembered what I missed.
The bacon is as good as bacon can possibly be. It's thick, tasty, and crispy throughout without being charred in the slightest. The "browns" (also known as country-friend potatoes in some places, not to be confused with what is commonly known as hash browns, which are more stringy) are amazing. They are crisp throughout, and MSG-free (as is everything on the menu since they owners are both allergic to MSG).
This is simply the best breakfast you'll find in town. Expect to wait as there is always a line, but there's a reason for it.
(They have lunch and dinner foods as well, and over 100 different items on the menu, but I wouldn't skip the breakfast food if I went.)
