The rich history behind this roadside cafe is quite interesting. Sam's No. 3 was the third of five Coney Islands opened by Sam Armatas in the '20s. Originally located on Curtis Street, the sons and grandsons reestablished the tradition and voila, the folks in Southeast Denver are the lucky recipients. A huge space with an old-fashioned diner counter, big booths and a nice selection of American and Mexican selections makes folks come out in droves for a taste. There are tons of retired golfers from the nearby Kennedy swapping stories and folks hustling in from all over the area. Breakfast selections such as the Kitchen Sink burrito are chock full of veggies, meats and eggs. The Curtis Street Burger is only $2.55. Add a Coney Island dog to the order and you can get both for under five bucks. If you haven't had enough, take a quart of the famous kickin' green chili to go. Only a few doors down from the Land Rover dealer, so when your Rangie is in the shop again this month, you now have a place to go. -- Ann Bender

This place is so nasty , I would never tell any one to eat here, I had some generic fajitas and did not even eat them the one in Aurora is the worst.. I will never go there again and neither will any of my family and friends.

Sam's No3 has the best American breakfast! The staff is always friendly and food is served the way you like it. For us it is a treat to go there for breakfast, but you have to be there early because it's very busy.
